HOSTING & BANDWIDTH
The emusu 'Pro' and 'Lite' packages include 500Mb of free hosting space (enough for approximately 100 tracks) and unlimited download bandwidth. On setting up your emusu website you are asked to create a sub-domain or reserve a new domain under which you can build and your site. If you would like to transfer an existing domain name to your new emusu site you can do this via the support team once active.
This is dictated by the amount of digital content you wish to make available on the platform. A typical 4 minute CD quality WMA or mp3 file is approximately 5Mb in size (100 tracks = 500Mb). emusu supports all digital file formats. Additional content storage is chargeable at £10.00 per mth. per additional 3Gb (approximately 600 tracks) of hosting space.
The bandwidth requirements for uploading your music and for your customers to download your music are managed across the emusu platform ensuring fast reliable service at no additional cost. We recommend a broadband connection for optimum speed when uploading content and editing your emusu website.
Email option. You will only require additional bandwidth if you choose to use emusu for email and send or receive above 20Mb of data per month. Email bandwidth is chargeable at £5.00 per mth, per additional 20Mb.
