Not necessarily new but, I’ve been listening to these at work today. Nearly brought a tear to my eye.

The album ’Horses In The Sky’ is 2006 old, but still - it’s such a whopper. The vocals are absolutely spectacular (sod ’perfect vocal tones’ - this is f’in raw maaan!) - complete range of emotions. Full on strings mixed with disturbing guitars - that place 7 or so musicians (I think) all compiled into one band....
For those of you who know post-rock gods Godspeed You! Black Emperor
(if you’ve seen 28 Days Later, that was practically made around GY!BE) - members of this band are also in Silver Mount Zion. So the sheer power that you get from Godspeed is evident in Mount Zion.
You can buy all their stuff over at Constellation: http://www.cstrecords.com/
And if you’ve not heard ’Slow Riot For New Zero Canada’ yet - why not?!
"Music at times is so touching it creates clear pictures of the unseen, imaginative horizons embracing the art. The "problem" of Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s music is that its images reveal, in such an intense way, a diseased, inhuman and terrifying world it disturbs the listener in a way he/she’s marked forever. We’re completely hit by these shocking atmospheres. Some of them catch a glimpse of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, like the introductory heartbreaking violins of "Moya". Sometimes we feel 9th Symphony could start right over. But then the solemn acoustic guitars appear, in such a depressive mood we’re literally reduced to ashes. A slowly crescendo appears just after, slowly and slowly, instrument by instrument, to became a explosion of cathartic apotheosis. We are giants now, giants of pain! We cry. The political "BBFIII" is the follower. More again, a suite opus of crescendo post-rock majesty. Where violins and guitars perfectly run, dance together. And, as if all of this was not sufficient, we’re definitely "killed" by the last lines of violins, with their haunting intensity vibes.
A work of supreme genius, every note is felt, every minute is disturbingly intense."
Slow Riot is music for the end of the world. An adrenaline rush to shout ’f you!’ to the evil that interrogates and rules it. An absolute emotional masterpiece.
Another band to shiver me timbers lately like GYBE is Ambiente: http://www.myspace.com/ambiente
