http://www.bbc.co.uk/collective/ - ’video feature’ pic is Chrome Hoof in their glittery Monk style clothes....

"A space jazz-obsessed, progressive-doom band in glittery monks’ cowls, the London 12-piece Chrome Hoof, it’s fair to say, aren’t afraid of the tag "exploratory". While that implies dryness, though, their debut joins the dots between intergalactic disco and satanic menace with impressive danceability. Singer Lola Olafisoye sounds like nothing less than doom metal’s answer to Grace Jones, while tracks such as Pronoid are an unholy mix of Funkadelic and Slayer. Most prog is anything but progressive; this could be the very definition of it."

You’ll need Real Player to preview the tracks on the Collective website. It’s worth it though, just for Circus 9000. I remember head-banging to this at Supersonic. Just listening to it now..... wowowow!

"Best Served Loud" ............Oh yes!!!!!!
